Francis BeattyNight Ride, Nov 19th, 2008Got in my first winter night ride... well it still might be fall, but it sure as hell felt like winter! Froze my butt off! Okay, it was around 36.8 degrees, for the most part I didn't get too cold except for my hands and feet. Hit the trail at an average pace. Nothing special or difficult about this ride. So a bunch of us when up to Pisgah this past weekend for an Epic. The route we took in Pisgah was really brutal!It's still soaking in how tough it really was... But I had a great time and would do it again in a heart beat! Honestly, I had no idea what we where getting into before we headed out for the ride. The quest for the next big ride! I was watching a video posted here on the site last night. As I watched it, I though... Hell! I want to ride that! So I plan to do some research on the trail that was featured in the video. But first, I've had my eye on a trail down in Georgia for a few months now. Me and the guys went to Dark Mountain this past weekend. Damn it was cold and Damp. But regardless I was gald I was there and I had a good time, even though I was hacking up a lung full of flem, my toes where frozen and I wrecked twice from the slick conditions.
