The Trails

Me and the guys went to Dark Mountain this past weekend.
Damn it was cold and Damp. But regardless I was gald I was there and I had a good time, even though I was hacking up a lung full of flem, my toes where frozen and I wrecked twice from the slick conditions.

The slick conditions made for a real interesting ride and as twisty as Dark Mnt. is... slick is not a great mix. I often found myself drifting from one side of the trail to the other, nearly sliding right off the trail. It's not that the trail was that muddy... it really wasn't. It was slick from a slight bit of mud, and damp leaves. After doing a lot of Tokyo Drifting during the entire ride I finally pushed it a little too hard and found myself drifting right into a stump... and I hit it... endo, end over end and impact! Damn that hurt. Surprised the other guys didn't hear me groan from the impact. Luckily I didn't break anything on the bike... and of course myself.

While riding at Dark Mnt. we decided to hit a new trail section that has been under development since late summer. We where not sure if it was finished and there may a be chance it was an out and back, but as it turned out it is a complete loop that dropped us right where we needed to be. This new section of trail is really nice, beautiful views and I'm really glad we hit it. It's a must hit from here on out!
