Want a better MTB site?
Here is a very short list of ways you can make MTB Path work for you, your buddies and other members.
Get Involved, Be Heard and Seen!
Post information in Resources and together we'll build a huge database of useful information on biking.
The more resources we add, the more useful it is for everyone. For example: The next time you're traveling out of town, you can search the Resources for bike trail info so you're not wondering where you can get a ride in and where the trail head is. Looking for a local wheel builder or custom powder coating for your frame. If we all post this type of information about local sources, then the other guys in your location will have a place to find this information.
Start up a Blog about something you find interesting or really enjoy.
Share your ride experiences, your race results, information about your favorite trails in your own blog. This makes the site more interesting with informative content and useful for everyone.
Post in Events, let everyone know about local races, fund-raiser for charities, club meetings, social gatherings, trail work, etc. Sharing event information is a great way to build a successful event, because people can come to one location to find out about what's happening. Not just on the national level, but on a local level as well.
Create a Group that covers a particular interest you and your riding buddies have.
For Example, let us say you're really into Single Speeds and want to create a group specifically for guys who roll SS. Get you Group started, make it open to the public or a private group that only people who are invited can join. Then use the rider search fields to drill down which members actually ride Single Speed bikes and invite them to join your open or private group. And with Groups you can have your own Single Speed specific forum. Or let us say you and your buddies are planning a huge MTB trip and wish to discuss it in privacy. A Group set to private is the perfect way, you can post where the trip is, communicate with your buddies, coordinate destinations on when and where to meet. Groups are a great place to make things! And it also has a Shout Box, that you and all your group members can use to hammer out details live on the shout box and make final decision on your big bike trip. Groups are a really great tool for friends to connect, organizations to focus on fund rasing event and coordinate their plan of action to achieve their goals for all to see, and generate interest and participation in the charitable event.
My be the Ladies would like to have a Private Group where they can discuss their interest and topics without having the guys around. Ladies, you too could create your own private, just for the Ladies. As mentioned about your group could be private, you'd have your very own private forum just for the Ladies. Invite all your girl friends to your private group and build your own Nitch just for the ladies... No Guys Allowed!
Go to the Reviews page, and check out the first review posted. Then join Bike-Review and submit your comments on the product/s being reviewed and you can rate it as well from 1 to 7, 7 being the highest score and 1 the lowest. Your comments and rating reviews are important to us all, and may shed some light on a product that other bikers may find useful in their buying decision.
