Catawba River, US National White Water Park
Located in Charlotte, NC

9 miles of fast flowing single track, with rolling hills and a few moderate to advanced climbs. Some roots, and expect to come across juggers and day hikers on the trail.

Click here for more trail info.

Here's  a link to my latest ride out there - I rode two of the extra loops twice, but this will give you a good idea of the elevation change, etc...

This is a fun trail very popular in the area, so don't expect to be out there spending a day alone in the woods.

How do you like Motionbase? Would you recommend it as a good solution for uploading and GPS data and storing your ride info?

It's free so I can't complain much...   It just doesn't have the display flexibility one might want, but it's a good start to discover what you can get out of your GPS.  I think it's a good repository of tracks that you can dowload and start exploring places you've never been before - or compare your performance to someone else if that's what you're after.

Where they get you though is that you can only access you latest 10 routes.  If you want access to your full history and a few extra features, you need to become a paying member (which I opted no to).  I read that if you go on another computer where you never logged in, you can do a search using your user id, and all your public routes will be accessible.
