Want to convert an existing geared frame to SS. Is the singlator reliable? Don't want the chain jumping around.
Any other recommendations on a conversion tool to keep the chain tension high enough to prevent chain jump?

my vote is the convert worked really well on the beater does not have a super big roller to bind, snag, etc... easy to adjust to chain line also

Did it seem to hold the chain well? Don't want to have to worry about dropping the chain.

I'd recommend the Rennen Rollenlager. I started out my SS conversion using a spring-tensioner (forte, so not the best), and it worked fine, but I didn't like the noise or the chain movement over bumpy stuff. Converted to the Rennen, and the chain is rock solid, no drops, and the reduction in noise is AWESOME. Its a PIA to pull the rear wheel compared to a spring loaded tensioner however, the one negative.
