Anybody had a chance to ride the Fox 29er fork??  Any feedback?

What about any fork other than a Reba?  Curious to hear about other options.

Man  I got a Reba and really didn't like it much. So I got an RST M-29 29er fork and it's very solid, but does weigh in close to about 1lb more. So I finally drop some cash and got the Fox F29. Glad I did it too, it really does smoke the Reba and RST. I wasn't too crazy about what it cost, but I'd do it again if I needed another 29er fork.

It corners great, is very solid and no flex in the corners. Bombs the downhills and soaks up the rough stuff. The lock out is easy to use while riding... a remote would be nice however and that's it's only draw back.

If you're considering getting one, just do it. You'll be gald you did!

I've got a Reba Race 80mm, RST M29 and a Fox F29.
After cutting down the steerers I weighed each fork and the Reba was the lightest, but only by a few oz. The RST weighed in the most. I'll try to fit the sheet of paper I wrote the weigh of each down on and post again later. But here is my take on the three forks.

I got the Reba 80mm for the weight savings. It's a fork, but I would never consider it a great fork. It's doesn't track great when railing through corners. The suspension action could be better in my opinion. And this is what lead me to get the RST.

As for the RST, it is a heavier fork, but the suspension action is more fluid and the fork is solid and sticks corners great and tracks exactly where you point the wheel. but the weight of the fork with a cut steerer came in just above 4lbs. I prefer the RST to the Reba when it comes to stiffness and suspension. But I recently put the Reba back on my hardtail to shave a the weight of the fork I was running. So I'd say it's sort of a wash between these two.

As for the Fox F29, it is superior to the Reba and RST!!! It's stiff and tracks perfectly. The action of the suspension is fluid and does what a fork should do, soak up the bumps and stick the lines. I like the lock out of the Fox better than that of the Reba or RST and it handles downhill sections great. There's no comparison when it comes to downhills sections. The Fox F29 simply outshines the Reba Race and RST M29.

I really wasn't too crazy about dropping the cash on a F29, but now that it's said and done... I wish I had gotten it to start with, I'd probably have two now if I had.
