Been thinking of adding the Poploc remote dampener kit to my Reba.  You apparently have to remove the entire damper assembly since the Poploc version has an internal spring that's used to reset it back to open.

Would be nice to be able to firm up the fork for short steep climbs out of the saddle and then open it right back up once you're over the top of the climb.

Does the Poploc work?  Does it seem to be reliable/durable?

I'm sure that it does...however in my experience, including 2+ years on a Pike with the same mechanism as the Reba. It's not much effort to reach down and adjust the compression on the fork itself. I generally don't mess with it too much locally as any climbs are of the short grunt and done type. In the mountains on the extended climbs, I'll firm things up, then open the compression for the DHs.

Also, I would rather not have another lever on the bar. It's just some other gadget to fail or potentially break in a crash. I like new gizmos and all, but this one just doesn't justify itself to me.

I have what your talkin about I think for my Dart3. A little shifter on the handle bars that adjust the lockout? If it is I like mine hasn't broken yet. I got it when i got my shock replaced under warranty. Seems to hold up pretty well for the betting it takes.
