Floyd Landis has been invited by the race series promoters to race in the National Ultra Endurance Race Series. While he's suspended from competing in sanctioned races, he is free to race in non-sanctioned events. What do you think about Floyd competing in the series? I've see some pretty good posts both ways, people supporting his right to do what he wants if the races aren't sanctioned by the governing bodies, and with folks complaining that he shouldn't be allowed to race because of his doping conviction. http://www.floydlandis.com/blog/2008/01/23/217/

Glad to see Floyd racing. I hope he does well. The evidence in the case had holes all through it. I followed the case pretty closely online and think the charges should have been dropped based on shoddy testing procedures alone. You can't have that many errors in the testing and still use the evidence to convict someone.
Floyd's an ex mountain biker with great handling skills, and he's got pretty good fitness, so I see him giving the regulars a run for their money.
I've read some others posts that said that they didn't believe that there were performance enhancing drugs in endurance racing because there isn't big prize money. Don't believe it. Money isn't the only thing that would motivate someone to cheat. There's alot of pride on the line and just the shear desire to want to be the one that wins. I'm sure there's some sampling going on in the regular ranks.
