Saw the light review under XC.  How many of you ride at night?  I've tried a few times with borrowed lights, but want to pick up a set.

Would you recommend going with a helmet or bar mount?

Are the LED lights a good choice?  I like the Night Rider MiNewt based on that review, but wonder about durability of the LEDs.

Nightrider
This is like what I have, just a few new features:

Pass on the bar mount If you only have one light - and instead mount it on your helmet, it'll serve you best there will cornering. The if you ever get a second light, mount the second on the bar.

I got a NightRider Blow Torch HID and it puts out plenty of light and I can get a few hours of it. It's more than enough light and better than most. So I'd highly recommend a NightRider HID type light. I personally can not see a LED putting out enough light to do the trick, but maybe technology has come a little further along in the light arena... I haven't researched lights in over 4 years.

What a coincidence. I happen to be selling a NiteRider Storm HID light.
Great light, VERY bright.
Helmet mount.

$200

Speaking of night rides, I can't belive I haven't gotten in one single night ride yet since the time change. Basically I have a glorifed flashlight right now.

I need to get in some night rides! What time does the Catawba gate close in the evening?
