So i bought this set of tires from my boss, he bought them and then put them in his attic. i rode them for a while and noticed that the sidewalls are falling apart. the criss cross threads are not sticking together. i dont know if this happnes a lot but is there any way to fix it? Maybe shoe goo? Oh the tires are Panaracer Spike.

This is a picture of what it looks like.

I had a set of Panaracer tires like this many years ago. I remember a few threads hanging loose on my set, but never had them blow out on me. If they sat in your boss' attic for a while, the summer heat may have damaged the rubber compounds. I'd look into just agetting a new set of tires.

I'm running Panaracer Fire XC Pro now and really dig them a lot!
