Sherman Branch Trail Conditions

I'm sure most of you already know this, but just in case:

shermanbranch.com is my website, and you can usually find up-to-the-minute information about the gate status and the trail conditions at the park. I live just a few hundred feet from the backside of the park, so I usually have a pretty good idea of how much rain (if any) has fallen, and I've gotten pretty darned good at guessing if the park will be open or closed on any given day.

You can also add the Sherman Branch Hotline number to your cellphone: 704-323-8283 - It's a recorded message that I update as needed, usually by 8:00AM, and sometime throughout the day.

You can even leave a message after the beep, if you have a problem on the trail to report.

If you have any suggestions, like maybe new content to add to the site, or an idea for a new service, let me know.

What's up... like to say thanks many times over for the Sherman Site. I use it all the time, like I did today. And it's definitely saved me a wasted trip when the gates are closed and found out the gates where open when I expected them to be closed... like today.

Just got back from my Tuesday ride!

Riding at Sherman Branch tomorrow at 9AM (June 13th, 2009) if the gate is open, but I suspect the gate may be closed at 9AM because of the rain storm that came through today.
So the alternative ride location is Anne Springs 9AM.

If you want to join us check Shermanbranch.com (http://shermanbranch.com) in the morning and if the gate is open... we'll be going there.
Otherwise, meet us at Anne Springs.

Hadn't been to Sherman in a while and was really impressed with the work that has been done recently.  There is a new reroute - not sure what was wrong with the trail that was bypassed, but it feels like they lengthened the trail a bit rather than just cutting it short. 


Great new berm out there that you can absolutely rail!
