Important stuff you need to know about the Cowbell Challenge Marathon:

The Marathon Course is 6.30 miles to the Dirt, and an 8 mile loop for 6 laps. Cut-off time occurs 7 hrs after the 10 am start--that makes cutoff at 5pm.

Start of the of the marathon race is on South St at the School Crossing sign, the one closet to Main St.

Parking is available at the two schools on South St The middle school is about 100 ft from the start, and the elementary school is about 100 yards down. Please park at one of the schools. South St, will be blocked off at 9:30am.

We strongly recommend Car pooling to the start of the marathon with a driver that can drive the car back to Fisher Farm Park for the finish.  We can transport a limited number of racers via bus if needed. Pickup times at the park are 7:45 am, 8:20 am, 8:50 am, and the last trip at 9:20 am. We have seats for up to 75 racers. Please email us if you may need a ride to the start.

Starting times: due to safety concerns and carrying speed into the first 90 degree left turn, there will be staggered starts:

9:50 call ups start

10:00:00 am: Pro-Open Class, Single Speed, Masters

10:00:15sec Amateur A

10:00:30sec Amateur B

10:00:45sec All Duos and Teams

Route to the Park: Once off the Greenway and entering onto Avinger Lane, SHARE THE ROAD RULES APPLY. A police escort car will lead the racers out to Abersham, making a right and then left onto the Greenway. SHARE THE ROAD RULES: stay in the right hand lane, don't cross over the yellow line.

If you are left out at Fisher Farm Park when the race starts, you must wait to start the race after the last racers comes by the start/finish line at the marathon timing area.

Racer packet pick up starts on Friday for both races, 9 am to 9 pm at the Homewood Suites.

Saturday 7am to 9am at Fisher Farm Park.

Don’t forget to purchase your tickets for the movie “Freedom Riders” which starts at 7 pm at the Homewood Suites, brews and vino provided!
